Default Public land usage ???

If there is an open field off of a Gravle rng road, with no fence or no tresspasing signs, is it legal to go hunt on the land ?

It is your responsability to search out the disposition of all properties you wish to hunt on.
If owned by anyone, you can be asked to leave by the owner or disposition holder. Or possible be charged with Trespassing, if you missed a sign or a run down fence.
Go to the County office and inquire.
If owned ask permission.
It is the very behaviour and mentality that gets such places posted and fenced. Usually if you ask they will say yes, and come out of it with a good respect for hunters. If they have to ask you to leave they get a crappy perspective of hunters.
The choice is yours.
Which side of the equation do you wish to be on.

Hey Dick I'm pretty sure that since 05-06 you were liable for prosection even if the land isn't occupied or posted.

Yup - get a county map and try to find out who holds the title. Incidently they are going to do away with labling the ownership on the maps due to the privacy laws. So get your's ASAP.
