Default BC Moose Hunt

Here's a link to a moose hunt a couple buddies and I did last year. Apologize for not creating it here, but took awhile cutting and pasting.
Kick 'er off here Rob if not "capeesh". I'll understand.

As a side note, moose at this time of year up here are required to have 3 points on one brow palm, OR 10 points around one antler, OR be a 2 point spike!

Heaven forbid if it only has 9 on one side.....your buddy with the fork horn gets to eat moose while you go to court.

Was a good time...nope, no other bulls in the freezer. The point counting limits the bulls taken, but the calibre of some of them is great.
Kinda funny tho...we've seen 55"- 58" calibre bulls that u have to let walk....they don't meet the point restrictions!
Kinda wild to pack a spotting scope around moose hunting. But she sure helps for those bulls that are a good distance away.
It gets pretty busy up here and FSJ during Aug 15 - 30th, it's open season...u can take any bull....
The point counting keeps alot of hunters home, but the calling is awesome. Love having these big brutes coming with their eyes rolled back in their heads, ready to run u over.

Great pics.

The point counting can get frustrating when you have to let them mature bulls walk. It for sure limits the number of moose shot but it was intended for the harvesting of mature bulls only(other than the small fork bulls). But what we have noticed where I guided age of bull has no bearing on number of brow points. Saw lots of small young bulls with 3+ points on the brow.

This old 54" bull has one antler with 3 brow points and one with only 2.
