Here is the only field pic of the moose I took in Alaska in 08. 375H&H 300Gr Swift A-Frame. Over 35 other bulls passed, a few botched stalks on others, only to be followed by a single shot to take this guy.

i begged and pleaded for gary not to shoot this bull on day 2 of our trip. he liked the non-typical left antler and boom. we saw about a 55 incher the next day.

this one was taken during a heavy rain. the bull was on the far side of a beaver dam and when shot in the back of the mellon did a backflip into the water. what a fun day.

my other moose pics are a little tougher to get...maybe later.

Cow taken on Nov 29/09. She stood up when we came around the trees. I hit her right where her neck and shoulder meet. She went straight down, got up, flopped over, got up made it to the edge of the field and went down for good. My first moose and the best part was being out with my son. .270 win, Hornady light magnum 130 gr.

All meat and such must be removed to leave the county. Boiling is the best way to remove everything.
