Default Went golfing on the week end and caught a "BIRDIE"

Me and the boys where doing our normal week end golf. On the first hole we noticed a hawk that was a little worse for wear. Continued our round and on 17 we notice the hawk again. We finished our round, went back and got some boxes and towels to catch the little guy, well he jumped into the water where we figured he spent the night cause he was looking so rough. We then went back to the trailer to get a fishing net to get him out of the water. By the time e got back he was just about done. We got him in the box and called Medicine River in Spruceview. My buddy drop the hawk off at a house in Red Deer. I have not heard how the bird is doing at this time I will give them a call on Monday.

I did take pics but ust with my phone. I will post when I can find the cord.

Way to go Doug. Let us know how he made out.

I have actually only ever seen one hawk die, while harvesting one year the farmer caught one in the swather, took both legs off right where they connected. I was in the combine, saw the legs laying there. He tried to fly, but was leaking too bad. Poor guy. A twist on the neck ended the agony.

That's how we lost one of our farmdogs. We had the swather blade on the combine and not a pretty sight. I was just a kid, 4 or 5 years old. Still have bad memories of that one.
