Ace 22

Does anybody know of or even heard of Ace 22's?? I came across one that seemed very old and it interested me. Nobody really seemed to know that much about it. It was an Ace 1 22 and I think it shot short shells only. It is only about 3.5 feet long, bolt action and a single shot that shoots short shells, not long. Thanks!

We have 2 of them. We shoot longs in them to with out a problem, I think they are from around 1909. They shoot pretty good to.

Ok. The old guy that had it said about 1900 he thought but wasnt sure. The only reason I was adiment about shorts was because he told me that shorts were what it was ment for. Im not a huge gun info guy but are these things rare? He told me it was and that is was worth huge $. I wasnt sure how much he knew what he was talkin about. And everybody i asked never heard of Ace rifles before. One gun smith told me there is Ace 1, 2's, and 3's, Ace 1 being the rarest. Whats the story on them?

I've got one of those, it's been in the family for as long as anyone can remember. It shoots shorts, longs and long rifle. Some of those guns mainly had shorts fired through them all their life because shorts were cheaper to shoot than the others. Because of this most of them are almost impossible to get another size 22 round into them because of leading in the chamber. A really good cleaning can fix this but since I haven't seen yours I wouldn't recomend shooting anything other than shorts in it until you've had a gunsmith have a look at it to make sure it can fire the longs or long rifle. I've seen them sell for around $75.00 to $125.00 but I haven't seen any for sale for quite some time. I'd buy another if I could find one. The one I had was the first 22 I ever shot and I'll still take it out every now and then.

Okay I just dug mine out and it says, ACE 1 22 Long Rifle

There's no other info on the rifle except for that ugly registration sticker that the Liberals forced on us

Agree strongly. Thank you Allen Rock and Kim Campell. May you burn in satans eyes for all eternity. If youd pay the 6 BILLION in tax payers money that you p****d away it might make things better, but proly not!! It would be a start tho!

The one I saw said Ace 1 .22cal. It did not specify long or short.

Mine has the 22 long rifle right after the ACE 1 Maybe the one you saw is older than mine. Great beginners rifle and easy to pack along when your out too.
