I know exactly what you're saying, and with it being a fairly small area, I don't announce it either. Stumbled on it last year and there were a few folks that I saw down there fairly regularly, but thankfully it's still a pretty quiet spot most days - and I like that

As for the old fellas - a couple of them I definitely trust, and I know that they don't go down there, so I dunno...
Today all the ice has cleared out and the water is way high, but the current is strong enough coming out of the trib that I couldn't get a 4oz weight to stay put and ended up in the main river pretty much whatever I tried, and for some reason I didn't have any other weights with me. I'm busy for most of the week but might try to get out there once or twice after work to see how things progress.
