I am aware of that, they are VERY guarded about what they say until you give them the retainer.

It is a small claims matter, not worth a big dollar lawyer, but the defendant has given the paperwork to their Attorney, and I need some help. I am hoping someone can give me some tips, or pm me to discuss details.

If it's that small, summer is coming up. Try to find an articling student. Barring that, and it might not happen in smaller communities, but some firms do Pro Bono cases. Ask around about that.

BOL.

I have received some super advice from a board member, thanks for the replies and help guys.

It is a stupid thing that I have to do what I am doing, and has nothing to do at all with anyone on this board. I may talk about it once it is over, it is absolutely ridiculous.
