Default Tips for Pike fishing.

Headed to Clear Lake today for a day of Pike fishing(my first time). Had no problem finding fish, since I have a fish finder, but could not get them to bite. Caught 3 Pike in almost 7 hrs.. Tried everything from assorted Rapalas to home made jigs to powerbait. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

look for aggresive fish to bite...the key to that is to find where the water in the lakes get warmest like black sands acjacent to weeds. use monderatly fast baits now.vibration then color then rattles.

Wildeye live perch swimbaits, you can get a pack of 3 baits for $6, and they work great! Good luck!

Try a mepps cyclops fire tiger spoon 5'' and greatly vary the speed of the spoon. I have had many hits when I paused the spoon.
