Rigging
Soft bottom should be a little up...rocks etc...drag it across.
The one thing about alberta is that those small walleyes take the hook down the gullet instantly , hell on C&R.....I think unless you are going to catch some big hog eyes ...best to jig... I may have been the first canadian to use a lindy rig ( early 70's ) we had our own manitoba version ...
like a wolf river rig ( used for steelhead ) used a barrel sinker ... I have fished summer , big water , , big walleyes with a 12'snell , interesting setting the hook . Definitely deadly but I dont like leaving those size 12 hooks in those dinkers....
I would like to go north and fish one of those shield lakes , that has big eyes .
Can be C&R any suggestions W101
