We were on the west end of the lake.

15" of clear solid ice with another 3" of white pack ice.

We drove onto the ice but exercised caution by driving slowly ( about 75 yards apart) and spacing vehicles 20 - 30 yards apart when parking.

I know "officially" that much ice should be able to hold pretty much anything on the road .... but it's always best to be reasonably cautious.

I have never been 100% comfortable driving on the ice. You just never know.

It was only 15" total in both spots we fished at yesterday. I felt safe driving on but 15" is about my minimum even though I driver a lighter suv.

16" ice , very clear water at the provincial park drop off

really nice ice at twin, 11 inches and near clear as glass on the west side. cleats a must.

How are the lakes surrounding calgary and airdrie hope to head out this weekend

heard ice wasn't thick due to high temperatures but I really don't think so, didn't make this weekend too cold

anybody know if its safe to drive to the island at Ste Anne?

Just wondering if anyone has been out to Keho in the last couple days. I am thinking of heading out on Sat but have some kids so I am hoping to drive onto the ice. Is it drive-able yet?

Guys are driving on at the boat launch. Seems like there is more ppl than fish right now tho.
