Default Reesor Lake Sucker Derby?

A buddy of mine was telling me he seen a poster for a Reesor Lake fishing tournament for suckers. Anybody know about this? Dates and details?

It's happening, I saw a poster on a local store door but I can't remember the dates.
I do know it's a "keep every sucker you catch" thing as Reesor is over run with them. Last time I was out there (summer '11) I caught 1 'bow for every 6 or 7 suckers, the action was non stop but haven't been back since.
Might head out for this thing though just to help purge the lake.

Saturday June 29th and Sunday June 30th.

$2 entry fee. Prizes each day for biggest, most & hidden weight.

I believe that all the fish are being donated to the Birds of Prey Centre in Coaldale.

Sounds interesting. I was at Reesor but was only flyfishing so caught only trout. I've only caught suckers ice fishing using cheese and downhole camera so you know when to set the hook when they happen to mosy on over to the bait. How do you catch them in the open water?

Pickerel rig with a chunk of worm works well - fun for the kids.

Use small brown, black, olive jig-a-buggers and bounce them across the bottom. Non stop sucker action.

Thought I would share a copy of the poster:

Does anyone know if the suckers need to be kept alive until the end of each day? Also are you limited to shore fishing or can you launch a float tube, kayak etc?
