That is what I read on the "mywildalberta" link. That link laying out te rules has since been removed, and the only other link I could find made it seem like only one helper. Thanks for the info

I guess all the hype about all those monster bulls and world record elk running around on the base must of been a hoax.

BEST HUNT EVER. Many, many hunters have used their high priority for the opportunity to hunt on the base. I did not. Therefore, I am one of the highest priorities in the province. I think I'll just sit back and wait for the next over-populated wmu to open up.

best part of this cull hunt was it wiped out thousands of priority points making it easier to draw in other units for the short term anyway

What do you guys think of the chance at a big bull during the feb hunts? Might be all shot up and pushed off the base by then I'm thinking or maybe not. Thoughts?

The hunt ends in January, but I'm sure there will be few good ones shot. I have not heard or seen of too many large elk shot yet.

Oops yes my mistake I meant to say Jan not Feb. My friend was drawn I was going to tag along as the "helper" I guess although I will call myself the guide haha. I'm sure it's a 6 point tag so any legal bull will get it. Thanks

Gonna be the cow elk in January. How was your hunt? Have you gone out yet?? Stories about the hunt would be great. How many elk you saw? North or south end?? etc etc etc!!!!!!!! I wish you the best of luck on your trip.

Got mine today. Lots of natives hammering bulls. Seen only 8 or 9. A ton of cows tho. Think the later hunts are slim pickings.

Not as many elk as you think. Natives cleaned a lot out.

Suffield
Of course the natives cleaned out a lot . There were over 23 reserves that were invited by the military to come hunt on the base and shoot as many as they want. Shame on the military and fish and wildlife for not dealing with the safety and fish and wildlife violations that were occurring during this SLAUGHTER.....Luckly someone was not injured or shot. Both the military and fish and wildlife should be ashamed of their actions.

I got my bull about 9:15 Monday morning, we were the fourth off the base. This bull was about the 25th that we had seen. He was in a group of six with one other bull about the same size. when we were loading up we had aheard close to a thousand run about 500 yards away, with close to half being Bulls, lots of spikers but definitely some shooters too. On the drive out we seen close to another 50 bulls and 10 in and around the size I got. I do know of one bull that was taken in the 370" range. One thing we did notice was that the majority of bulls were not even on both sides, either points were broken off or just not developed. Over all we had a good experience. it's amazing seeing all those elk, would be nice if they would transplant about a thousand back to the yaha Tinda
