This isn't a surprise.since we do live in a country where we aren't all equal under the law.

I realize the Indians can "harvest for subsistence" (spelling???)....but the need to hunt in a park when you've got the entire province where you have permission on private land and access to crown land is kind of ridiculous. But hey, if theres not enough game in the entire province outside the park, go on in and hunt those park animals. JMO.

Once again, we see the RACIST use of a derogatory term to describe Canadians, this is ...whitey...

While I could not possibly care less what ANY aboriginal or mixed race person thinks about Nordic people and our skin, eyes, hair or advanced culture, it seems to be somewhat questionable to allow this term.

What would the reaction be to a Canadian of non-aboriginal ethnicity calling aboriginals "brownies" or something equally inane?

As to special "hunting" priveliges for ANY group based on race, I am adamantly opposed to this and it must be stopped, one way or another.

You should realize by now that it's not considered racism if it is directed towards white skinned races. However any derogatory remark or name directed towards any person of any other skin color certainly is considered racism.I guess that we will see what the site moderators definition of racism is by their reaction to the post in question.

I ...realize... a great deal more than I post on these forums, here or elsewhere. To discuss archaelogically substantiated history on gun/hunting forums is simply a waste of time and energy.

The time will come in Canada, when we will bitterly rue the contemporary political rectitude that motivates all to many of us to "tolerate" some objectionable comments and yet take umbrage at others. Discrimination, REGARDLESS of whatever rationale is employed to justify it, NEVER initiates greater acceptance of human differences and this WILL return to haunt us, much sooner than many seem to realize.

Anyway, threads of this sort just end in stupid recriminations and slagging, so, I am done and gotta go work on my "new" Chevy 4x4 which I am building into a custom hunting/fishing truck....a much more productive pastime, eh!

I am white and I also agree there is a lot of abuse with sustenance hunting but the comments jaylow is talking about are clearly racist.
