Default satanic pike from rock island?

just got back from rock island lake(i can't catch walleye!), wife caught a nice 26"ish pike, real thick but it had some real red tinge on the body and the rear dorsal and tail fins were very red, it was very neat to see, we will have pictures up within the hour
how do i add a digital pic'?

I have seen the red pike as well on several occasions, not sure what causes it, but catch a few in slave during the summer months that are really red. Also heard of alot of people catching the same.

I know with Halibut they get a red belly if they are travelling around a lot as they rub against the bottom. It is caused by irritation from scrapping the bottom, Maybe these pike are hanging on the bottom more than normal so it is just an irritation? Depends, could tell you more once you get the pic posted.
