My First Brookie Experience on the ice!!
We clapped many brookies this day. Just myself I had maybe around 12. Many averaging around 17 inches. My main lures I used today was the slender spoon and acme kastmaster spoons. My jaw jacker had a few hits with a gold tungsten jig with dried krill on it. Medium action rods with 6 pound mono was all I used. A friend from The Fishin Hole guided me on this trip so if you wanted to give ice fishing a try I suggest you contact him using the instagram link below.

Great video! What beautiful fish. I wish that I had local brookie fishing like that. Hell, I wish there was ice locally!

Which area are you in? I would have thought most trout lakes would be frozen by now

Douglas gets way too overprotective over things. He wouldn't let me reach for the ice hole. His full name is actually Douglas Steven Heffernan from the sitcom King Of Queens. haha

Awesome video, they sure are nice looking fish. You need a “Beware of Doug” sign on the tent!
