Default Cranberry lakes Manitoba

Hey everyone,
Heading to cranberry lakes early September. Does anyone have experience here. Be doing 3 days of fishing, any tips would be greatly appreciated. Starting to get excited.

I can't help with the Cranberry lakes at all, but if you're in that area anyway I highly recommend giving Barbe lake a try. It's 40km down the road from Cranberry Portage and is some of the best trout fishing you'll find.

If fishmonger doesn't see this post you could try sending him a PM, I'm certain he'd have some advice for you.

Been to athapap and loved it!! This trip the two little girls are joining and cranberry looks a bit more user friendly if the wind picks up. The big lake in athapap on windy days may not be fair to them. Lol

Great too hear. I know I picked a tough time of year, but just excited to get out elsewhere.

This can be a great time of year depending on weather, dress for anything!
