No one has stated that its ok to shoot from your truck!!!!!!!!!

To drive around hunting in one is one thing. To shoot from it is a completly new scenario.

If your 20-30 yrs old and paid for your booze, you shouldnt hunt from a truck.

Dont think this post has solved anything and I appologize for getting it started. I just wanted to suggest that not every "truck hunter" is evil. This a big step for me and maybe its because Im softening with age. Never the less... Thanks for your thoughts.
No , I think to summarize this thread you should see that who cares how people hunt as long as it is done within the rules.

The point is if you want to drive mock ten through a field where you have permmision and jump out of your truck then put bullets in your gun and stay clear of your vehicle and shoot your critter, have at it. It might not be considerd the best "hunt" of your life but if that is your thing then giver!
For those that don't hunt like that and don't like it then bite your tongue unless there is something legally wrong.

A perfect summary indeed. I couldn't possibly agree more.

I admit I havn't really checked into it - but if there's nothing illegal about driving over a road, spotting an animal, jumping out and loading, and shooting then why is there a controversy.

If it's legal then it's legal - period. Otherwise where would the arguing end. I think it's wrong for people to drive their bikes on the road - but it's legal so ...

In our society the law makers make the rules. I think it's fine to debate it, but to actually point the finger and tell someone they are wrong is a very self righteous act.

I have no issues with any "able bodied person" or otherwise truck hunting....

Do as you please,...and if that is truck hunting, have at it. I don't need for any truckhunter to justify himself to me, or qualify anyone as being "the exception" so as to make it O.K. for them to truck hunt.
That wasn't really how your first post came across, not to me anyway. Thanks for clearing that up. I agree, by the way.
