Whitefish through the ice

Anyone know how to catch Lake Whitefish in the winter? What to use for hook? Where and when to fish for them? Thank you for your information.

You might have better luck in the fishing section but 5-10 feet of water and a wire worm (yellow, red, copper or brass)
