Default Butcher lake ice

Was also at Butcher lake this afternoon, ice was pretty thick and dark considering how windy that area can get. Ice was about 12-15 inches thick in areas close to the east end, i watched one guy with his hand auger closer to the south east area is(where the driveway used to be) and the ice was pretty much a solid 14 inches! Loads of people as well!

Somebody throws up a post with the name of a lake and said lake is loaded with people the next day. Hmmm...seems like that is quite the trend around here.

I was thinking the little lake would be fairly quiet, and boy was i wrong. This is the first time ive been down there on a nice day with that much ice traffic!

Fishing was slow - we got two out on the ice and had a couple more bites. But it was an awesome day and I really like the new auger I picked up. Now we want to find a place to go after some perch...... Thanks for your help.
