Default nice evening on the lake

finally got a chance to get out of town for an afternoon so headed down to spring lake. sky was threatining and wind was strong at 4:00 p.m. but then it calmed down and became a beautifull evening. in the 5 hours i was there i caught 11 rainbows, 6 small, 3 10", and 2 big ones one measuring 19" and fat. what a fight on my 6lbs. test line, he cleared water 5 times. i love trout.

Haven't had a chance to check out spring lake yet, were you fishing from shore?

this is my second year fishing spring lake and though iv'e heard stories about the perch in there iv,e never caught one or know anyone who has.
for those asking about location and access, it's not hard to find (on the way to hassie) but very very difficult to access unless you know someone who lives there or join the edm. trout club as i did. there is a walking trail you can use but fishing from shore on this lake terrible.

The perch winterkilled 2 years ago which is a very good thing as they were all so stunted. The 'bows have gotten much better in the last two years due to more food. no public accsess anymore, even from the campground.
