Im planning on heading out there before it gets stupid on the weekend. Not sure about the skitters but im guessing the water will be really high, ill definatly let you know how it is. Its been raining hard here for the last week. As for bait most people use marshmellows and power bait.

You may have few problems out there with all the water they have gotten this past 2 weeks.

Just got back from there yesterday. Very few mosquitos but it might be a different story in a week or two. Lots of rain early in the week (more than 6") which was running everywhere. It washed out a few paths and rutted up the road quite a bit on a couple of hills. The lake is up about 2 feet.

Sittin on the lake right now. Water level is pretty good. A few places on the wall are under water but people are still fishing there. As for bugs the horse flys are more of a problem than musquitos.

Theres also signs up saying there is blue green algea in here. As for fishing i have been here for 3 hours and not a bite. Havent seen anyone else catch anything either.
