Default Rather Large BC Triploid

Here's a nice Rainbow I got outta the East Kootenays on the Idaho nymph using the type 6 fast sink on June 27. My 2nd biggest trout all time. Measured 25 inches. I released it after arguing with my father, who wanted me to keep it for some reason.

It was a pretty solid fight. I was fishing in 50 FOW, and only using a 5 weight rod. However, I was also using 9 weight reel. A bit of an awkward set-up, but I was just trolling. The Idaho is now the official nymph of late June/early July. It has been the ticket at every lake in the last 6 weeks. Just deadly. Perfect Mayfly imitation. Totally silver!! Looks to be a Panask. That lake has some hogs, for sure. Last year, I took a picture of one dude with a thick 24-incher. If I had my way, every trout lake would be like this. It would be one fish per day (sans bait), and stocked with nothing but triploids.
