Did your kids score your ride? Remember the points come half from the rider and half from the animal.

That is wicked, glad to hear no one got hurt!

Quite a few years back, my dad shot a nice buck, he put his taged on it and the buck up and ran off....two years later, about 10 km away, the buck was shot and the guy called my dad to tell him...pretty crazy!

I always touch the eye of a critter with my rifle with a round up the snout. If the eye twitches, so does my finger. So far I have not had to shoot again.

We shot a chicken one day put in the box of the truck got to camp, like 1hr later and there it was under my tool box strutting around. We weren't sure how to go about this so we opened the tail-gate got a stick and tried to chase it out. Well Mr chicken flew outta the truck almost took my bro's head off and then flew away for good.

But glad to hear you werent hurt in the doe rodeo...!

Cheers!!

This is a second hand story so I'm not sure it's BS or not. My uncle was out hunting with his buddy and they shot a bull elk... uncles buddy decided it was a good idea to just pull out his knife and finish the elk off. Well he walks up to the elk and stabs it in the neck.... The instant he stabs the elk its back leg comes up and takes the cap off his head. Uncle said it probably would have killed him had the elks leg been couple inches lower. I could see something like that happening, but then again my uncle tells pretty good hunting stories lol

I always approach them from the back near the head. Rifle ready I poke them in the eye, if they blink they get another one.
