Default Marie Lake / Cold Lake

Thinking of heading up to Marie Lake /Cold Lake Area to fish for whitefish and burbot... any been out there this year?

Went to Bourque Lake a few weekends ago ago all we got was a 4lbs walleye (zero catch limit) and a miniscule perch.

Just looking to fill my freezer before the ice thaws.

Maybe some of y'all would help me out?

Thanks!

Just a friendly conservation 'heads-up' that people usually give whenever someone says "fill my freezer"

From the Alberta regs

"The maximum number of fish you may have, including fish at your home and fish caught under a special harvest licence, for each game fish species or group of species is listed below:"

- Lake Whitefish and Cisco (Tullibee) – 10 in combined total.
- Burbot (Ling) – 10 in total.

Regs are here: http://www.albertaregulations.ca/fis...eral-regs.html

I am well aware of the regs, and do not intend to catch more than the legal limit. 10 whitefish is plenty.

Fair enough, I figured you might, but wanted to phrase it nicely before someone phrased it less diplomatically about the possession limit being the same as a single daily catch limit.

Sorry I can't give you much help with spots. Happy fishing.

Default went there last week

limit out in less than 4hours. Tulibee is spawning, so whitefish is looking for egg.
