Default Crimson Lake

Want to know how access is to Crimson lake, I have been fishing Sylvan Lake and Gull Lake this winter but I am looking at going other places as well. What fish are there and how is the ice?

Swan lake might produce a laker, big brown or big pike. 55 km. NW of Caroline. I have only fished it once in september and didn't have great luck but did see some nice lakers,6 to 8 lb., caught by others. A few 10+ lb. browns have been caught there in recent years too. Maybe someone else can elaborate more about ice fishing this lake.

Cant comment on ice fishing but my little brother pulled a few trout out of the lake last summer.

Used to fish this lake 25 years ago. Lost a few at the hole and there are some big trout in Swan if you can catch them. It was always a tough lake to fish. The lake had brown and lake trout as well as pike. I thought the Alberta brown trout record came out of this lake. I may be wrong on that.

Crimson does not contain fish. Try twin lakes close by.

lol not for long......

If you find a tiny little lake that has perch in it, and you ever want to fish it again, you should post it on AO....

I was camping at Crimson this summer and noticed a rather large sign explaining why there is no fish in the lake. Too acidic. It is a tamarack slough. Good luck. BEL

Default Crimson

My brother was out on Crimson a couple of weeks ago. It's full of tiny perch, his 3 daughters had a blast. Nothing of size.

Was thinking about going out tomorrow morning, got a word that they are trying to get all the perch out of this lake. Didn't think there was anything left there. Has anyone else heard this? Been reading lots of reviews/posts of the lake and it seem 50% people say theres nothing and the say there lots of perch. Cheers!
