Default Looking to catch pike at Sylvan

I have never been to Sylvan Lake but a buddy who lives there wants to go fishing. I'm not looking for anybodys "sweet spot", just a little info on which direction to start. Not interested in using any shack or anything.

Someone has to know some place we can try.

Range road 20 or RR23 on the west side would be a good start

Northwest side of the lake (rr23)

Once on the lake turn right and head towards the shanty town in the bay 75-100yds from shore is a good ledge with a weed edge. I've had luck with blue/silver and FOD spoons as well as dead stick herring.

Good Luck!

Cheers.
