Default Wabamun, Saturday February 16, 2013

Was a great day, arrived to a pink sky and no wind, with +3.

Within the first 10 minutes of having our lines in we we're hooking pike.

Caught a total of 11 throughout the day from 7am-3pm on rods mostly, only 1 on the tip ups.

Fish cops came in to say hello to us, came right in my tent, congratulated us on our excellent fish handling skills, and proper release. Said its nice seeing young guys showing respect and care for wildlife.

Pictures:

Notice my highlighter pants waterninja,

The only tipup fish, haha:

Biggest guy of the day, tipped the scales at 9 lbs 6 oz. Fish cops were checking my tent during the picture haha.

Tight lines everyone, happy free fishing weekend.

Wink

There will be pre drilled holes and hot chocolate tomorrow at wag. Almost anywhere you go on that lake and you will catch a fish if not a big pike

Nice pictures - looks like you guys had a good day.

I am pleased to hear about the presence of the CO's out there. I would be more than happy to see them twice a day than twice in a lifetime.

Did they ask about barbed hooks? just curious....

Nice fish!! Those Pike are sure alot of fun! Especially if you got the tip ups going off all day. It's good excercise too!

Try off rr 44 in the weedbed just to the right about 8 feet of water. Have to go about 700 yards out. Some big ones around there. Few fish but some hens !!! It is pretty dead compared to last year but put in your time and you will be rewarded !!

I know just had to borrow your tag line. We had 3 fish 36 to 38 inch last Friday. Being Wab still not worthy of posting pics gonna wait for the pike over 40 inch.
