Default Minn Kota C2 30 on an Inflatable

I doubt this would kick more than 10 kph on my Seyvlor fish hunter inflatable. Basically I am wondering if I would need a boating exam to use a Minn Kota 30Lb thrust on it as the paddling is getting quite tiring.

You need a boat license regardless of engine size or what it uses for power.

Ps I had a 38 on my old inflatable. Went decent
