September Fishing
September is here!!!! The best time of the year,hunting starts and for the fisherman,the walleye are fattening up.The water temp. is starting to drop. That makes the walleye hungry.Today the sun never came out to warm the water at all. The walleye had the feed bag on. I was using my slip bobber and a #7 5 of diamonds tipped with a minnow. Some times the hook would not get to the bottom without a fish on. The big ones were hitting the hook on the up swing and the smaller ones were hitting just after the fall.Biggest one was 27" and fat as a football. As it came close to the boat I could see the little 5 of diamonds hanging on to his lip. Makes the heart pump.The best part is,it only gets better.

Getting all 18 inch eyes here. Slow as molasses today, but .any weekend with 7 sturgeon cant be all bad

besides bigger fish in the fall i also like when sept. hits as it is a lot less crowded on the lakes and shorelines.

Nice fish, thinking I'll be making a trip down to the forks again within the next month to try my hand at some of those big eyes.
