Default Pigeon Lake Update?

I haven't seen an update on Pigeon in a while. How's the ice and how has the fishing been? I'm probably headed to try off the provincial park in a couple of weeks. Any updates would be appreciated.

I have a couple of walleye tags from the summer for Pigeon that I wasn't able to fill, I've never really been much of an ice guy but the father in law has a set up I can borrow to go try it out. 2 questions.....Is the ice safe, and when do tags expire?
