To get to the lake you can continue straight and you run into the lake / marina or between the new and old portion of cold lake there is a set of lights turn right and follow the road through a semi residential area past a school and eventually to the provincial park just follow the main loop or signs to the PP boat launch. The provincial park boat launch accesses the lake in Frenchmans bay.

I'll be out there all weekend in a 2013 gmc Sierra 1500 and a black 4 man tent.
Anyone planning on doing some after dark fishing tommorow evening? I'll be heading out right after I'm off work and hopefully fishing by 3:45!

Slow afternoon today by the PP, marked lots of fish but we only landed one between the five of us. Hope it picks up tomorrow for my crew so they can all experience landing a nice Laker!

Man i wish we could if kept fishing the night bite. We started getting hits around 9pm then the wind picked up like crazy, we were scared of the ice ridges opening up. I bet thd burbs would of bin a good night bit there. Gl and fish hard.

Landed but one at the PP side of the bay. Short of a keeper.

Just about lost my tent when putting it up in the morn lol. What a sight..........grown man chasing a wind blown tent acros the ice. Floor was frozen solid to the lake when I packed it in around 1800. Thankfully I had a shovel to scrape it off the ice. Tomorrow is another day. Good luck.

Must be doing something wrong, can't seem to hook up on this lake! Can get fish to chase the hook but nothing will bite! Tried anchovy, smelt, minnows, shrimp! White, green, pink, yellow tube jigs, cold lake specials and after 3 days not a fish! Getting frustrated at the least. Out of 5 of us only 2 have landed a fish, been very painfull.
