Default Yellow Lake?

I have never fished Yellow Lake let alone even been there. I was wondering about the fishing there. My boy and I are wanting to try new areas.
First thing where is a good area to go on the lake? I don't want anyone to give away any honey holes (unless you want to), just a general area.
Are atv's allowed on the ice so I can pull my gear around?
Anyone been out recently and want to give an report?
Thanks for any info!

Used to fish it a bit but not in a few years.
Used to catch a few pike there.....some good sized too.
However the lake seemed to be getting more and more stained...sorta like 12 Mile Coulee.
Its shallow pretty much everywhere and limited access....TWP 100 runs east/west thru it and you have good access, you can take your quad on.
Any fish i've kept from there has been very yellowish/orangish in meat color.
Worth a try but not by me...

That is what I have found with the pike at Murray Lake as well.
Thanks for the info.
