Default Cz 527 carbine problems

Looking to get into this gun but have a few reviews of extraction problems. Anyone have experience with this gun and if the issues have been addressed in the new ones.

I had one in 7.62x39mm and had no issues with extraction. Cheap milsurps ammo is the cause of most issues I would assume. Mine ran Norc (Cheap cheap cheap Cooper washed steel) really good and Czech was a little sticky due to the laquer they use.

Similar issues here with the cheap Norinco surplus. I'm assuming the gun is ultra-tight tolerances, while the ammo is not.

Factory loaded stuff seems fine all the time, but military surplus is someones great, and sometimes way to tight (going in or coming out).

Haven't found a fix yet! Be safe out there!

I had a carbine in 7.62x39 and never had any issues (I never shot surplus though) it was a fun rifle, just kinda useless so I resold it.

No issues with mine with norco or barnaul. Lots of fail to fire with winchester i think it was the shape of the brass along with their crappy primers. Extracts and ejects fine

CZ changed the extractor a bit a number of years ago (2013 maybe?) to deal with the extractor issue.

I've shot a lot of czech surplus through one, and never had a problem with extraction.

If you're going to shoot surplus, clean off your bolt face after.

If you're using surplus, check to see if it is laquer coated. The coating is thick enough to cause extraction issues. This has been well documented.

Thanks for all the info. I think I'll go for it. Any luck with one non surplus brand from another?

Hey there. I shoot surplus and a bit of factory hunting ammo out of mine. Surplus shoots 2-4" groups. Factory 123gr softpoint winchester super x get 1" groups out of my 7.62x39. Handlpads could get it under that. No issues other than tight chambering with some surplus as others have mentioned.

Try 25gr of H4198/Fed mag primer and a 123 Hornady SP.Under 1/2" all day till the cows come home.Shoots 3/4" with same charge under a Barnes 123gr TSX if larger than deer game are on the menu. Running .311 /150gr Sierra SP's with 21gr of the same powder under an inch.Mag primers cut the groups in half so that's why I use them except with cast. Grouse load 2.7gr of Bullseye standard primer and a cast #2 or WW 93gr Tokarev pistol bullet sized .311 bout 900fps and quiet as a mouse fart.Harold
