Default Penn 209 Trolling Reel Left Hand

Hey everyone, anyone know where I can find a Penn 209 levelwind trolling reel with left hand retrieve? I’ve been crawling all over the web and it seems might no longer exist. Perhaps someone knows a small “mom n pop” store that still has??
Thanks
Cory

I would check Fishusa. They will probably have it or a model very close. I have bought from them many times and always a good transaction.

Default Penn 209 Trolling Reel Left Hand

If it’s in the budget look at an avet.

They build them in multiple sizes, right or left hand, about a dozen colours, single and double speed, magnetic cast control and the littlest one the sx or sxj retrieves 36” a crank in high speed. They hold 400 yards of 50lb braid and are available with drag settings up to 20lbs. They are machined from aluminium and built in the USA. They'll last his fishing career and start at about $230 CAD. I bought a few used ones and paid less then $200 a piece on eBay. I’ve since put them through a year in the salt and have caught everything from baitfish to that black marlin in my avatar on them and they’re very good reels.

This is the sx

This is the sxj which is the same reel with a narrow spool.

It's going to be hard to find something truly saltwater for under $200 …… but sometimes a quality used or new in box comes up through Ebay - just watch out for forgeries. You can tell by language/grammar in add sometimes - also if the have "multiples" of the same thing.

It was brought up before. Don't mean to be a jerk but is it reel face up or down? Up is one side (right) and down is (left) other side. Does it make a difference if eyelets are up or down. One way reels forward the other way backwards. Sorry can't help where to buy.

It's a level wind reel.

If positioned properly, a Left hand reel, with the guides up, and reel up, the handle would be on your left side and wind forward to retrieve.
