Default PB Pike

Well I took the family out on the weekend for some southern Alberta ice fishing. Almost didn't go with the crazy wind. Glad we did. I got a personal best pike at 19lb and change. My previous best was 16lb. Got her on a tip up with a 8" herring. As has been the case for me a couple times this season she waited until 15min before dark to take the bait. I've only picked up ice fishing the last couple season, don't know why it took me so long.

I always enjoy others stories and pics so I thought I'd share too.

Apologies about the pic. I'm not sure why it rotates when I upload it.

Nice Alberta slough mermaid. Luckily it is early in the season and you can maybe break the 20 lb mark on the next tug.

That's the goal to break the 20. Been saying that for a few years now haha.
