Default A little cooking today…

We are getting together with some old friends next weekend for a Ukrainian themed dinner party. I thought I’d get a head start on pierogies today, and ended up making some bread afterwards too…

Today, I made sauerkraut and mushroom, as well as sweet farmer’s cheese.

Would you mind sharing the recipe by any chance? I grew up eating this but haven’t seen it in a store for years! I found the filling in Calgary but am at a loss for the dough.

SNS- that was a BIG mistake! I killed people for far less than the puppy seeds cake, lol! Plus I know where you live now
Looking awesomely good man, I’m sure it’s very tasty too…
All I can add to it to make it even better is this:

That’s what happens to a man when the AO forum is down, lol!
One more thing: just in case you don’t feel like cooking, there is a very yummy Ukrainian bistro/bakery located in Cameron Heights called Malina Bakery. To die for!

There is another Malina Bakery in Sherwood park about 2 blocks East of Peavey Mart. While there you can view a collection of classic cars that are in an adjoining showroom.

Skills! That looks so yummy.

It`s funny, just this weekend I discovered the poppy seed filling at Spinelli's, and was trying to recall when the last time was that I had my mom`s poppy seed cake...

The filling is very easy. Most of the websites talk about using a meat grinder. Coffee grinder was lickety split.
