I believe the expression goes along the lines of “hold my beer”, ironically the same expression that the drunk driver used.
#woke
I personally blame it on climate change…

It's Quebec, where things aren't supposed to make sense.

So is she not going to lose her license for a blood alcohol level of .18? If so, she can't even drive for them, so why should they rehire her? It makes no sense at all.

Makes no sense in your mind, but perfect sense in a parasitic, we have to save the whole world, and gov’t social policy is our avenue, type of mind such as many on the left possess.

What good is a job driving truck if you lose your license?

OP, you missed the perfect opportunity to say, "Hold my beer" in a thread title.
Back to the regular programming.

This is the ONLY way they would be truly held accountable for their decisions.
I would say only in Key-bek but this stupidity knows no geographical boundary's, it's everywhere, sadly.

So every person charged with impaired driving , should use the defense that it is a disability, and not a criminal act. Better yet, the impaired driving laws should be eliminated from the legal system, and anyone that has been convicted, should have their criminal record removed.

I suspect she's not losing her license because it happened in the States.
Although her privilege of crossing the border now is likely revoked, let alone being able to drive while Stateside.
Otherwise, justice denied...

It is more common than you think.
I've know a few functioning alcoholics here in Alberta, in very important positions. It seems to be an acceptable "disability" if you like. Very dangerous though.

You can bet someone's defense lawyer will try it out soon enough now.

That is certainly not the way it works in Alberta when it comes to a building trades worker.
The fact that it happened Stateside complicates things though, although the BS about installing a blow device in the truck is stupid.

This is nothing new, unfortunately. The City of Edmonton has had several of their employees caught driving under the influence.
As long as they admit they have a 'problem', the city has to keep their job, and pay for any rehab and counseling.
If I were that employer I would suspend the employee from any driving jobs and put them on the only work we have available, toilet duty.
