Default Castle Park

Anyone know what is going on in the Castle? Took a drive out on the Sartoris road and they are building a camp area by the Goat creek road. Looked like 6-8 sites. All random camping along Lynx Creek and Carbondale is closed for construction for 2024 but not seeing anything going on other than a few survey stakes in a few spots. a lot of the "random" spots have been recalimed and cannot get into anymore. I appears they will be pushing the camping away form any river access. Did not go past the Lynx Creek campground towards the O'Hagan but from the signs it looked like that was all shutdown as well. Lynx creek campground and Castle falls camping is the only thing open. Nothing on the Parks website.

Alberta Parks continues to take its dear sweet time in establishing a few suitable campsites along Lynx and Goat Creek, survey stakes have been there for years now. Lots of former random camping spots are now closed/reclaimed along the Carbondale River and Lynx Creek. The O’hagan, Carbondale, and Adnac Roads are poorly maintained. The province is in no hurry to establish new camping spots. From what I observed over the years is the government continues to reduce access roads and trails in this area. The Y to Y initiative has a strong foot hold here, doing their best to keep people out.
