Default Grizzlies Everywhere

Snapped these two pictures of two different sets of grizzly bears today while out bow hunting. The mom and three cubs were about 1 minute west of cardston and the mom and two cubs were about ten minutes west of cardston. The mom and trhee cubs were feeding on a dead cow. They are kinda rough looking bears. Must be a lot of work for that mom to keep those three fed. The mom and two cubs were just walking through the field we were in. Passed us by at 75 yards. We were crouched pretty low in the grass haha. Might have to start carrying my rifle when I bow hunt! Sheeesh!

Beauty pics thanks! I really like that pole haven area SW of cardston.

Hope they all make it to maturity, and a few get hunted.

Great Photos hard to believe that you saw 1% of the entire bear population in one day at the cost of 5,000000 million for the study based on an average of 8,333 dollars per bear you saw 50,000 dollars worth in one day

Cool

sorry for mocking the study but congrats on some fine photo's and thanks fo sharing they are very nice!!!

Come on guys, you know those were Photoshopped pictures. I mean truly! The Seirra Club would have us believe that almost all grizz are gone because of the big bad hunters and recreationalists. LMAO!!! The population in that whole area is a lot more than they want to admit. And the fact that one of the bunch was chewing on a dead cow means one p/o'ed rancher in that area. My son and I bowhunt the Crownest and we now carry one bow and one shotgun after our little adventure with a grizz last year. Two bows, no guns, and having a grizz eat in a meadow 100 yards from you makes for a lot of stress when you are hiding in the bush.

Actually plinker, that cow likely died of old age/sickness and not the grizz. They're just savin' the rancher the trouble of SSS!

Great pics!!! It's too bad we can't count these bears without a DNA sample!?@# Good job playing the wind - cubs and a cow on the ground - that could have been fun! By the way, I think it's OK to carry a shotgun or spray just in case. Thanks for sharing and play safe.
