Default Question for the Perch Experts?

I understand why lake sundance and hasse of millions of stunted perch but dont get why Wabamun has the same thing. The three times i have been there in the last 4 week i saw big burbs, big whites, huge pike and millions of tiny stunted perch what gives?

Actually, this summer when trolling for pike a 11" perch slammed a spoon (with perch colourings). I think mostly though, the pike are eating them as fast as they can reproduce. When I fished there as a kid, I rarely found perch on the open water - they were always snuggled up to the docks - trying to avoid the predators.

Yeah probably too many predators that eat them before they can grow large. But there's likely some smart big ones in there, just don't see them that much.
