Default Weedless Treble

I finally found the right diameter wire and patern to make myself some weedless trebles. If a person has fly tying tools and wire it isn't hard. I don't think you can get these in a store but I could be wrong.

If the weather turns around next week I'll be going out to Crawling Valley or Travers to test it. The single barbs I tie up as weedless work well so this should too.

I picked up some commercial ones at WSS , gave them a shot and took them off again as they cost a lot of hookups. When the weeds are that bad Ive been using buzzbaits for surface and spinnerbaits for subsurface and have done quite well with them. Very few weeds get hooked up, you can actually drag the buzzbaits right over weedbeds and tease the pike out of them.

Good to know about the Moss Boss...I was eyeing those up last time I was in WSS but wasn't sure about them.

They seem very similar to the Silver Minnow, which is another 'weedless' option
