Default anyone ever eat fish tongues

some people say fish tongues are the best part of the fish,,,any comments

Ate cod tongues and cheeks as a kid. Don't remember much about them though. I imagine the cheeks are like walleye cheeks......yummy.

I eat cod cheeks and "tongues" frequently when I go home, but I think the "tongue" is actually the flesh from between the lower jaw bone....not 100% sure though.

Regardless, both were very tasty but I do prefer the cheeks much more. Battered and fried, tastly little nuggets!

I've tried burbot tongues and they are ok but nothing compared to the cheeks and liver.

I eat them but not in the spawning season,never know where they might have been
